During 2013, AJAR has deepened its relationship with national and local human rights organisations in the region, working together to develop innovative strategies to defend the rights of the victim in difficult contexts.

We have continued to provide a space for human rights defenders from different Asian transitions to meet, share, and discuss the challenges they face, look at their work in a fresh way, and develop new strategies for change. This report highlighted significant achievements in transitional contexts such as Indonesia, Timor Leste, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.
