AJAR’s documentary film screening in Oslo, Norway, on January 26th.
There will be a screening of “Nina and the Stolen Children of Timor-Leste” introduced by AJAR’s Director Galuh Wandita and hosted by the NCHR and the Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) followed by a discussion.
It is estimated 4000 children were forcibly taken from their families during the Indonesian occupation. The film depicts AJAR’s work in reuniting a group of “stolen” children (now adults) with their families in May 2015, after up to 35 years apart.
