Asia Justice and Rights President Patrick Burgess spoke at a special event commemorating Bangladesh Genocide Day on 25 March at the Liberation War Museum – মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুঘর. The event was organised by the Museum, in collaboration with the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Patrick delivered the keynote speech on “Bangladesh Genocide and Global Community: Then and Now”, highlighting the genocide of 1971 and its recognition, lessons from the region, and the ongoing crisis of the Rohingya and the situation in Myanmar, which needs immediate justice and sustainable solutions.
