This research report captures the voices of survivors and community members in the aftermath of “the Tensions” (1999-2003)\u2014a period of conflict marked by human rights violations, displacement, and deep social divisions. Using Participatory Action Research (PAR), the study explores the long-term impact of the conflict, the role of women as peace mediators, and the challenges of reconciliation, justice, and accountability in the Solomon Islands. It highlights survivors’ experiences, ongoing trauma, and calls for truth-seeking, reparations, and community-led peacebuilding initiatives. With policy recommendations for healing, gender justice, and implementing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission\u2019s (TRC) findings, this report is an essential resource for policymakers, civil society, and peacebuilders working towards sustainable peace in the Solomon Islands.
